Mailermatic: Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mailermatic cost?

How do I get Mailermatic?

Simply phone us on 01206 381881 or email us using the contact form on this website and one of our friendly members of staff will respond as soon as possible and furnish you with all the information you will need to get started.

Datapartners will give you access to the Public Demo of Mailermatic so you can “try before you buy”. Again, just contact us and we will happily arrange this for you.

How much does Mailermatic cost?

There is a one-off cost of £250 for the Mailermatic license and £350 for the installation of the software and customer database (only applicable if you are not already running a related Datapartners product). Please note that you are only paying for a valid license to use the product and are in no way buying any rights, exclusive or otherwise, to Mailermatic.

There is a monthly hosting fee that will start at £10 per month and is reviewed every 3 months and adjusted according to the number of subscribed customers. The more customers you are sending emails to, the more it will cost you!

Can I put HTML in my articles?

Technically, yes. However, we strongly advise against this because Mailermatic is designed to send messages out in “Multipart”. This means that the system establishes whether or not the receiver can view the HTML generated from Mailermatic and if they can’t, a plain text version is displayed instead. If you start putting HTML in the text area, this will just appear as gobbledy-gook to your customers!

Can I customise the template?

No! Mailermatic is designed to fulfil the legal requirements set out by these annoying bureaucrats who insist on imposing rules and regulations on the Internet for the sake of satisfying their sense of self-importance in a vain attempt to justify their existence.

Do I get support with Mailermatic?

Yes. Datapartners always strives to keep customers happy and basic tuition and support is included as part of the monthly charge. As a result of continued feedback from existing clients, Mailermatic continues to be developed in an attempt to improve the user experience.

Although we will always try to help with support in other areas, please be aware that any support calls that do not directly relate to Mailermatic may be charged. These include, but are not limited to: general email support (i.e. email not from Mailermatic), Internet connection problems and computer hardware/software issues

You are provided with a Wish List for you to put support queries or suggestions on things you would like to see in Mailermatic. This can be found on your main Dashboard.

Can I move Mailermatic away from Datapartners?

No. Mailermatic is part of the Datapartners suite of products and will not work outside its own environment. Part of the setup cost you pay is for the valid license to run the software and does not entitle you to claim any ownership of the module. If you wanted to move away, we can supply you with the saved correspondence, uploaded images and list of customers but not the product itself or any of the code that goes towards making it run. There will be an administrative charge for this and no support will be given.

What if I want to cancel my Mailermatic license?

Obviously we don’t want to lose customers and we always strive to build long-standing relationships. However, we are aware that sometimes people feel the need to move on and we fully appreciate this. We do, however, require 30 days notice of cancellation in writing (email is sufficient).
